Hello, my old friend,
It’s good to see you again,
I thought that you were gone for good,
I knew that you never would,
Be there when I came back for more,
Yet here you are for sure,
Can’t you see what you do to me,
You bind my hands and just won’t set me free.
Hello, this is the end,
I just don’t have the time to spend,
You took from me a part that was so dear,
You filled that hole with pain and fear,
But I got up and turned my life around,
Dusted off and got up off the ground,
Now I don’t run from you at all,
And I can’t hear you when you call.
Hello, he said to me,
It is for freedom I have set you free,
He took my hand and walked me away,
To a place with everlasting day,
I can’t even remember your name,
He crushed my past and beat your deadly game,
His name is Christ and he is my savior,
